Rimadesio’s new headquarters in Giussano stems from the choice to regenerate a pre-existing industrial space and turn it into an integrated system that redefines the relationship between production, landscape and community. Signed by ACPV Architects — Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel — the project pairs manufacturing areas with newly conceived spaces for training, social life and wellbeing. The headquarters evolves into a campus.

Architectural project: ACPV ARCHITECTS LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT: PARCNOUVEAU

“The architectural project is the result of a regeneration process that brings production, landscape and people into relationship.”

Patricia Viel, ACPV Architects

“We immediately understood that we could not miss the opportunity to design a park with a campus inside it.”

Sara Busnelli, ACPV Architects

The buildings interact with the landscape, where existing trees have been preserved and integrated with newly selected species. The greenery present among the volumes and common spaces extends to the rooftops, improving the microclimate, reducing consumption and accompanying everyday work. Innovation combines with comfort thanks to photovoltaic panels, a geothermal system and intelligent climate control systems. Even the cycle path, which connects Milan to the company, becomes part of an accessible and open ecosystem. The Rimadesio Campus is conceived as an organism in the making, ready to welcome transformations and new possibilities over time.
